I was reading on article on the successful cloning of the extinct Ibex. The clone later died from lung-failure, which is common result for all clone-created animals. Although it doesn't sounds like a feasible method for the saving of extinct or near-extinct species, the idea is incredibly interesting both from the biology and conservation standpoint. One comment I read, although not constructive at all to the implication of cloning an extinct animal, was absolutely hilarious:
"Hah! Now we're responsible for the specie going extinct twice!
Go Humanity!"
Awesome.

"The human race attempts to make scientific advancements! Who the fuck do we think we are!?"
